My name is Jesse Larabee. I am a former foster child of the CA$. The year I aged out of foster care I started asking for a copy of the file. CAS refuses.
I know that the failure to make records available to former crown wards is motivated by a fear on the part of the CAS that access to the records will result in law suits and criminal charges being brought against the agencies for failure to protect the rights of the child.
